MNE Weddings: Becky and Emmanuel- From High School to Dreamy Wedding

3

My Nigerian Experiences presents this week’s couple, Becky and Emmanuel, who are inter-tribal by virtue of origin but have been united by the union of Marriage. A mix between the South-South and the South-East Nigeria. The beautiful couple shows a perfect blend of communication that can work against all odds when time is invested into it.

Particularly exciting is that they met back in Secondary School and were just friends. The confident and laid-back groom and his beautiful bride stunned for the reception as they dug their heels in to celebrate their union.

Emmanuel later found Becky after they were both done with University and the first thing he said was that he likes her and he is going to marry her someday. (How do guys even know these things?)

Becky shrugged it off and was just wondering at his stance, in her mind, she thought she could not imagine herself married to an Ibo man as she was from Akwa Ibom!

Her reservations resounds with the lot of inter-tribal marriages in Nigeria sometimes, but the barriers have been pulled down gradually.

Alas, count down to this day, they are hooked and officially married!!!

It was such a success and a dream come true for the beautiful couple.

The reception turned out to be so much fun as it was a time of re-union for the Alumni of the School they both attended, Command Secondary School, Ipaja, Lagos state.  Family and friends turned out en-masse to celebrate the couple.
